Quadrant Chemplast is a specialist fluorocarbon processor, chemical equipment supplier, and projects group operating worldwide.

Our head office and factory is based at Elandsfontein, near Johannesburg International Airport, South Africa, and we operate through branches in the cities of Durban, Cape Town and through distributors worldwide.

Quadrant Chemplast is a highly technically capable company and networks with various premier suppliers of plastic materials and equipment.

OVERVIEW OF TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

Quadrant Chemplast has developed an in-depth technical knowledge base related to plastics in general, as reflected in various SPII funded projects and close liaison with DuPont, for example. A major milestone on this path was achieved with the Award to Chemplast for the “most innovative company in 2000” by the Department of Trade and Industries.

Our total R & D and engineering scope is very thorough and, we believe, unique in the broad basics understanding, as well as specific deeper technical issues such as permeation and mechanical testing.

Quadrant Chemplast has operated in the plastic equipment market since 1969 and thus has extensive practical and theoretical knowledge relating to various plastic equipment systems in numerous respects.

We have been involved in research, design, development, manufacture, project management, installation and servicing advice related to all the main plastic piping systems used by major customers in Southern Africa such as Sasol, Dow, AECI, NCP, Platinum Refineries, etc.

We have also managed large sized plastic piping and plastic plants such as tank farms and scrubber systems. We cover a supply scope from product specification through to system layout, detailed drawings, project management, large scale product importing, to installations of piping and ducting systems. Full quality surveillance and reporting is also provided.

Quadrant Chemplast has extended experience in the technical aspects of plastics. The science and practical needs of plastic piping systems for example, are of a fundamentally different nature to that of metal or other material piping systems. Plastic piping systems have their own unique or distinct knowledge fields of installation technology and fields of pressure rating for temperature, for example.
